Planned Industrial Outdoor Storage
FleetHaven™ is planning a gravel outdoor storage yard near I-295 in the Fayetteville area for equipment, materials and business assets, with truck and trailer parking as a substantial supporting use.

Proposed storage uses
Equipment and contractor storage
Outdoor space for work equipment and the trailers that move it, between jobs or through slower seasons.
For example: construction equipment, attachments and utility trailers.
Materials and business assets
Room for stock, supplies and business assets that need a defined outdoor place rather than a building.
For example: building materials, palletized stock and storage containers.
Commercial vehicles and trailers
Parking for trucks, tractors and trailers as a substantial supporting use within the same yard.
For example: dropped trailers, tractors with or without trailers, and box trucks.
Truck and trailer needsThese are proposed uses under evaluation, not a list of accepted items. Eligibility for any specific equipment, material or vehicle, including anything hazardous, plus dimensions, access, terms and services, will be set before opening and has not been determined.
Outdoor gravel space
The planned yard offers outdoor gravel space rather than a warehouse or climate-controlled building. Items stored in the open need suitable weather protection.
Eligibility, handling needs and site conditions for any particular item would still be reviewed, including its weight on the surface and whether the use is permitted at the site.
How length of stay shapes a yard
Equipment parked through a slow season, materials staged for upcoming jobs and a truck that returns each evening need different layouts, access and circulation. FleetHaven is planning around those differences rather than one kind of parking space.
Whether power or refrigerated-trailer services would be offered has not been determined.
Questions to consider
- Items and condition
- What equipment, materials, containers or business assets would you need to store? Note attachments and any special handling or environmental concerns.
- Size and quantity
- Estimate overall dimensions and the number of items, including any space needed to reach or move them.
- Duration and access
- Consider how long items might stay, how often you would visit and what loading or movement would be needed.
Where the first yard is planned
The first location is planned near I-295 in Fayetteville / Cumberland County, North Carolina.
